Paul O’Hara – Clinical Director and Physiotherapist
Paul is both a spinal and sports injury specialist. He has a special interest in running injuries and is considered to be an expert practitioner in this field. He has also worked with some of the world’s top Olympic athletes in track and field competitions including The IAAF Diamond League events in London and Zurich. Paul works on a consultancy basis for both British Athletics and England Athletics. He was also selected to work at the London 2012 Olympic Games and worked with several athletes leading up to the games.
Paul also assisted in the screening of young athletes as part of ‘On Camp with Kelly’ mentoring scheme with Dame Kelly Homes and for the English Institute of Sport (EIS). Paul has post-graduate experience in manual therapy (including HVLA manipulations), acupuncture and rehabilitation. He completed an MSc in Sports Physiotherapy at Cardiff University and presented the results of his thesis at the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine (ACPSEM) Biennial conference in 2011. In addition, Paul has completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy also at Cardiff University.
Kelly Kilmartin-Disson – Physiotherapist
Kelly qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist and completed a 3 year degree at the University of East London. She has post graduate qualifications in Sports and Remedial Massage and completed a BTEC level 5 (the highest available qualification in the UK) course at the London School of Sports Massage (LSSM). She has also completed a level 1 APPI foundation mat-work course in Pilates to specifically assist in spinal rehabilitation. Kelly provided physiotherapy and massage as a volunteer on behalf of ‘Spinal Research’ during the 2013 Virgin London Marathon.
James Wright – Sports Masseur
James successfully completed his qualifications in Sports and Remedial Massage and completed a BTEC level 5 (the highest available qualification in the UK) course at the London School of Sports Massage (LSSM) under the expert tuition of Mel Cash. He has also completed the ITEC Level 3 Holistic massage from The School of Natural Therapies. James has provided massage during the 2012 and 2013 Virgin London Marathons.
